5 Dog-Friendly Taco Spots in Denver

Find yo’self a dog who looks at you like you look at margaritas, and you’ll never have to spend another #TacoTuesday alone. The guac may be extra, but so is your dog, so he deserves a trip to the patios of these dog-friendly Denver taco joints ASAP.

Agave Taco Bar
With menu items like homemade squid-ink tortillas, fresh-squeezed-juice margaritas, and breakfast tacos on the weekends, this South Denver spot is nacho average Mexican restaurant. Once you’re done doin’ a scarf on your third round of chips and salsa, walk off the buzz from the 50-plus tequila options at nearby Wash Bark—er, we mean Wash Park.

Cochino Taco
We’ve gotta taco ’bout this menu—Fritos pie, Doritos nachos, evil Cheetos?! What the pup will this Englewood Mexican restaurant come up with next? Whatever it is, we can bet you and your best dog will be sittin’ pretty patioside come Taco Tuesday.

Uno Mas Taqueria y Cantina
“Uno mas” is what you’ll be saying after your pup steals your first round of street tacos (with options like grilled shrimp, duck confit, and pork belly, can you really blame him?). The farm-to-table resto’s two Denver locations on Pearl Street and 6th Avenue are both conveniently within walking distance of a park (Platt and Governor’s, respectively), so don’t feel guilty about that queso, Karen.

Wahoo’s Fish Taco
Fish tacos are Wahoo’s kibble, but the SoCal-based chain, which now has eight locations throughout Colorado, offers much more than flounder, salmon, and shrimp. Wag your way up to the counter for chimichangas, burritos, and bowls stuffed with everything from carnitas and chicken to beef and tofu, then snag a spot on the patio for some quality taco time with your furriest BFF.

Tacos Tequila Whiskey
Tacos, tequila, and whiskey: This restaurant is straightforward and to the point, just like your dog when she’s begging for some of your carnitas. We see those puppy-dog eyes, floofer! With three Denver locations all offering à la carte–style menus of tacos (scallops and chicken and beef tongue—oh my!) the pawsibilities are endless. Paws up: Doggos must keep all four paws outside of the gated area, but staff are happy to provide you a table right next to your furry friend.
