Meet the Dog Who’s Been Photographed in Front of 20 Twin Cities Murals

Meet the king of local murals, @leo_the_lionpup

Minneapolis is known as the City of Lakes, but this art-loving town is also home to a surprising number of murals. And as one local pup discovered, they just so happen to make a furbulous backdrop for photos. Meet Leopold Butterscotch Shadis, aka Leo the Lionpup, aka one of our fave Instagram pups of all time. This one-year-old Minneapolis resident has been photographed in front of 17 (!) Twin Cities murals, each one cuter than the last.

“Murals have always been a fun hobby of mine,” says Amy Shadis, Leo’s human. “I’ve loved discovering them around the Twin Cities and anywhere we travel.” Amy adores sharing this pastime with her pup. “Leo loves to go on adventures and wags his tail eagerly at the door anytime we put our coats on, whether it’s visiting dog-friendly patios in the summer, going for walks in any weather, or scouting out Twin Cities murals,” she tells Sidewalk Dog. As for how she gets such terrific pics of Leo, Amy says, “Sit-stay is his best trick, and of course getting a treat afterwards sure helps!”

Good boy, Leo. ♥
