Rub a Dub Dub, Get your Dog in the Tub: Twin Cities Self-Service Dog Washes

Behind every fun afternoon spent outside with your floofer, there’s the inevitable bath that follows (shh, don’t tell pup). If the word “bath” also scares you and you find yourself wondering “where the h*ck can I find a dog wash near me” as images of flying fur and splashing water dance through your head, don’t worry. These Twin Cities self-service dog washes will help doggo look her best without the hassle of cleanup afterwards. Stress-free bath time bonding? This news calls for a celebratory roll in the dirt.

Note: We’ve checked all COVID details and can confirm these locations are open and taking precautions, but as always, we recommend calling ahead.

Bubbly Paws (Multiple Locations)

With locations in St. Louis Park, St. Paul, Maplewood, and Minneapolis, Bubbly Paws makes staying clean convenient. They’ve got you covered with waist-high tubs, non-slip ramps, cologne, toothbrushes, ear cleaner, professional dryers… we could go on! Upgrades and a la carte options available depending on how fancy pup’s feeling (facial scrub, anyone?). Reservations are required, and pricing ranges from $16-$29.

Dog Day Getaway (Apple Valley)

As the snow comes and goes this winter, the ground stays wet, which can only mean one thing: mud. When pupper is in desperate need of a boop-to-tail clean, head over to Apple Valley’s Dog Day Getaway to take advantage of their self-service tubs. They provide all scrubbing necessities, so all you need to worry about are the post-bath snuggles and treats. Reservations are required, and pricing ranges from $15-$23.

Wag N’ Wash (Eagan)

Whether you pop in for a basic wash or the “Fur Buster” special, you and doggo will be living your best lives after a visit to Eagan’s Wag N’ Wash. Their dog bakery is a favorite of ours, so after she’s feeling squeaky clean, why not surprise pup with a turkey loaf or a peanut mutter pie? You’re guaranteed she’ll be all too happy to return next time she needs a scrub. Walk-ins are welcome for all self-wash stations, and pricing ranges from $14-$20.

Pet Evolution (Multiple Locations)

Walk-ins are welcome at both of their Twin Cities locations. Each locally-owned shop features a state-of-the-art DIY dog wash complete with natural shampoo and unlimited clean towels for you and your muddy mutt. Not only do they provide everything you’ll need for a squeaky clean, but they also do all of the cleanup. Prices range from $15-$25, and your 6th wash is always FREE.

You Dirty Dog (Shoreview)

If you find yourself with a dirty dog, the kind hoomans at You Dirty Dog will gladly come to your rescue with plenty of cleaning supplies for pup and a waterproof apron for you. Located in Shoreview just one block from the Rice Creek off-leash dog park, you can take your pittie for a playdate and hop on over to wash him up quicker than you can Google “dog wash near me.” We recommend calling ahead to confirm a spot while capacity is limited. Pricing ranges from $15-$25.
