Doggo waited patiently all work week for you to shut down the computer and show her off around town. Whether your idea of fun is finding treasure at the flea market or a day of live music, we’ve sniffed out these dog-friendly Seattle events for you.

Friday, August 26, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Your spontaneous sidekick likes a little improvisation, so treat him to the sounds of Jazz in the Park! Pounce over to the east side to Washington’s second most-visited state park to kick off your weekend with a night of jazz from Mambo Cadillac. Bring your own blanket or low back chairs and hang out on the north lawn of The Lodge. Self-parking is available in the St. Edwards State Parking lots but a Discover Pass is required.
Denny Park, Seattle
Saturday, August 27, 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Pup loves a vintage find, even though most things are pretty vintage when you consider them in dog years. The South Lake Union Saturday Market is gonna be the intersection of vintage and handmade this weekend. If sniffing out a good flea market find doesn’t tire floof out, check out the Denny Park Off-Leash Area to really get those zoomies out!
Ballard Locks, Seattle
Saturday, August 27, 2 p.m.
Leash up and grab your favorite snackies and a blanket for the Ballard Locks Summer Concert Series this Saturday. You and woofer can relax in the grass while listening to the sweet tunes of Tutti Frutti, a flute quartet, who’ll be playing various flute choir pieces.
Cedar River Park, Renton
Saturday, August 27, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Whose got four stubby legs and a floofy booty? Good chance it’s your Corgi! Corgis and Corgi mixes are welcome to join Corgi Fun Day, hosted by the Cascade Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club. Come check out fun activities like agility and obedience demos, a costume parade, and more, with like-minded (and like-legged) doggos! Registration is $5 per family and begins at 9 a.m.
Freeway Park, Seattle
Saturday, August 27, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Come celebrate all things summer at Freeway Park! You and your hot doggy can cool off with water games and sprinklers, listen to live music, and nosh on free food. Did we just say free food?! Pup, yeah!
Jimi Hendrix Park, Seattle
Sunday, August 28, 7 p.m.
Dress pupper in his finest purple and head to Jimi Hendrix Park for a showing of Purple Rain. The movie starts once the sun goes down, but get there early to enjoy the furbulous pre-show drag and trivia. For the ultimutt experience, make sure to pack chairs, drinks, and snackies!
Looking for a pup to spice up your weekend plans?
If you need a furry sidekick, or maybe a second one for your pack, look no further than this Seattle adoption event.
Three Little Pitties Rescue
- Head over to Dock & Drink at the Hyatt Lake Washington on Saturday, August 27 from 1-3 p.m. to chat with Three Little Pitties Rescue volunteers and fosters about their adorable adoptables!
