Things to Do Near Minneapolis This Weekend
1. Dog Days of Summer
Alimagnet Dog Park, Burnsville
Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Head just a wee bit south of Minneapolis and you’ll stumble across Minnesota Basset Rescue’s (MNBR) Dog Days of Summer this Saturday! There’ll be kiddie pools for floof, food vendors, a silent auction, raffles, rescue dogs from MNBR, and pet vendors so you can shop ‘til ya drop. Pupper will love watching the Disc Dog competition or trying her hand at hot dog bobbing!
2. Pints for Pups
The Howe, Minneapolis
Sunday, July 31, 6–9 p.m.
Looking for a howlin’ good time? Pounce on over to The Howe to grab a brew or two on Sunday evening. A buck from every brewski that you enjoy will be donated to No Dog Left Behind, plus pupper can order straight from their dog-friendly menu complete with apps, entrées, and sweet treats. Drinking for a cause? Pup yeah!
Things to Do Near St. Paul This Weekend
1. Thirsty Thursday Patio Party
Bald Man Brewing, Eagan
Thursday, July 28, 6–9 p.m.
Bring your lil’ rockstar to Bald Man Brewing to kick off the weekend early. GB Leighton will be rocking out with a free show on the patio—where dogs are always welcome—the Smashed Food Truck will be serving up unique red potato dishes, and Bald Man will be pouring brews of all kind (seltzers too!). Basically, pupper’s never gonna wanna go home.
2. Drink Beer. Rescue Dogs. Repeat.
Saint Paul Brewing, St. Paul
Sunday, July 31, 12–5 p.m.
Saint Paul Brewing sure knows how to throw a pawty! This dog-friendly, kid-friendly event is raising the woof and money for Healing Hearts Rescue. Get your paws on 10 rounds of bingo ($20 donation required), the silent auction, pet portraits ($20/pup), drool-worthy wood-fired pizza, and tasty bevvies. Oh and don’t furget to cuddle with the adoptable puppers attending the event too!
3. Raise the Woof in Woodbury
Itchin’ to stretch those legs? Take your fur babe out for a few shopping shenanigans in Woodbury this weekend. Pick up a few gifts at Patina, get pup’s style opinion at Primp, and stock back up on your craft supplies at JOANN. Does doggo go mutts for sweets? Grab a cupcake at Nadia Cakes too. On your way back to the cities, take a pit stop at Battle Creek Regional Dog Park to get those zoomies out. Here you’ll find 35 acres of dog park, all fenced in, and miles and miles of wooded trails. Plus, this spot has not one, not two, but three places to swim: two small ponds and a large one. Great for canines with short attention spans!

Underdog Rescue
- Underdog Rescue will be at Town Green Park in Maple Grove this Saturday, July 30, for the Summer Vendor Village! You can grab tasty treats from the event’s 5 food trucks and shop the 40+ vendors too. From 9:30 a.m.–2:15 p.m., there’ll be 2 shifts of pups to shake some paws with. Check out their site to see what dogs will be attending.
