Dress them in their finest lederhosen and dirndl for the Edmonds Oktoberfest Pet Parade! Join in a stroll around the Frances Anderson Center and be entered in the costume contest with categories like best costume, cutest pet, best behaved pet and even owner/pet look alike.

Barks and brews, what else could you need? Celebrate National Service Dog Awareness Month with Dogs for Better Lives and learn more about service dogs and how to help their cause. While fluffers may not be a service dog (though being cute is quite the service), she’s still welcome to come party it up with beer, raffles, giveaways, and more.

3. Luminata

Green Lake, Seattle
Saturday, September 24, 6-11 p.m.

While the sun may still be shining and there’s no rain (knock on woof), it’s time to admit that autumn is right around the corner. Say hello to the autumnal equinox at Luminata, an annual light parade around Green Lake. The lantern shop opens at 6:30 p.m. but the parade itself will start at 7:30 p.m.

4. Kirkland Oktoberfest

Marina Park, Kirkland
Sunday, September 25, 12-6 p.m., Tickets required

While Oktoberfest may be the wurst time, we can guarantee your dog will have the best time at Kirkland’s Oktoberfest. With full and half pours of beer, 7 DJs, and games like keg rolling, how could the day get even better? Here’s the answer: wiener dog races
