DIGITAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – NEW BUSINESS

Full-time — Minneapolis, MN

ABOUT US: Sidewalk Dog Media is a dog-friendly resource for pet parents and an avid supporter of rescues and shelters. Current markets include Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, and Seattle, with additional markets on the horizon. Sidewalk Dog also serves as a multi-platform advertising vehicle for brands, specializing in sponsored and custom content, market research, and dog-friendly events. Each member of our pack plays a key role in our rapid growth and expansion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: You’re accountable for developing a pipeline of qualified prospective advertisers and for securing digital advertising revenue from new clients, primarily national brands, looking to reach pet-parent consumers. Clients range from small, single-market businesses to large, national brands who buy media through agencies. You’ll work closely with the marketing, client success, and content teams to build and maintain market share. Minimal travel required.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 
● Sales hunter mentality and national account experience required.
● Bachelor’s business/marketing-related degree or equivalent experience.
● Minimum 3-5 years demonstrated NEW business sales success required (digital advertising/media sales experience preferred). 
● Ability to gain access to high-level executives (e.g. marketing directors, CMOs, etc.) through various cold calling and networking techniques.
● Ability to engage clients quickly and develop rapport, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
● Pre-existing relationships with advertisers, agencies, ad networks, and publishers preferred.

COMPENSATION: Base plus commission. No cap.
