This just in, folks: Ford has decided to end 2018 by putting some of its best soundproofing tech into one of the prettiest dog kennels we’ve ever seen, and it’s a dog kennel for dogs who are scared of fireworks. The Noise-Cancelling Kennel employs high-density cork and the Active Noise Control System found in Ford’s Edge SUV to block the majority of outside sounds. It also features anti-vibration block risers to reduce or eliminate floor vibrations, and soundproof ventilation to keep air inside fresh and flowing.
“Once microphones inside the prototype kennel detect the sound of the fireworks, a built-in audio system emits opposing frequencies that in effect cancels out the noise completely – or at least reduces it significantly,” Ford Europe explained in a statement.
It’s also puppin’ beautiful, with an automatic glass door and Scandinavian design.
Though it’s just a prototype for now, we’re hopin’ to see this dog kennel for dogs who are afraid of fireworks on the market in 2019. Before July 4th would be grrreat.
Would you buy this kennel? Woof at us in the comments.
