Ok, so it’s not that pup would ever turn away a Milk-Bone, but she thinks it’s time for something a little tastier. And heck, don’t you deserve a little sweetness too? To that we say: “PUP YEAH.” Check out our list of dog bakeries in the Twin Cities when it’s time for you and your doggo to treat yourselves (hint: it’s always time).

Smallcakes

The perfect combo for you and your pooch, Smallcakes in Savage has a menu of specialty cupcake and ice cream flavors longer than your tail, including their very own Pupcake. Their slogan begs the question, “Maybe a cupcake will help?” Yes. Yes it will. Smallcakes is open 7 days a week for both curbside and in-store pickup; call ahead for same-day orders.

Did puppers’ ears just perk up? Maybe she heard that South St. Paul-based Just Dogs! Gourmet bakery is hard at work every day making a bootiful variety of treats just for her. Even better: all of this yumminess is available online. Pup prefers to stay home in her cuddle pile and let the bundt cakes come to her.

Wag N’ Wash

If your BFF’s feeling a little scruffy around the edges, give him his own little spaw day at Eagan’s Wag N’ Wash. Start out by treating his furbulous self to a wash and trim, and then let him finish the day with a peanut butter pie from their Gourmet Dog Bakery. We’re getting puppin’ jealous over here!

Sara’s Tipsy Pies

What’s a tipsy pie, you ask? It’s a delish single-serving pastry with a hand-rolled crust and special alcohol twist on fillings! YES PAWLEASE. Located in Stillwater, Sara’s Tipsy Pies whips up amazing treats like the blueberry-lemon hand pie made with wild blueberries and Chateau St. Croix Rosé. But don’t worry pups, they also make Cheesy Frost Paws for you, with greek yogurt, banana, cheese, and bacon.

Nadia Cakes

Smol pupperinos and big floofers alike will be wagging their tails about Nadia Cakes’ pupcakes. Made with peanut butter, apples, bananas, and a few other drooly ingredients, they’re available daily in both regular and mini portions for appetites of any size at their Woodbury and Maple Grove locations. Bonus! They also offer nationwide shipping.

Three Dog Bakery

When it’s time to pawty for your bud’s bday (or any day that ends in “y”), we puppamend checking out Three Dog Bakery in Apple Valley. Opened in 1989 as the world’s first bakery for dogs, their seasonal treats, gourmet pastries, and famous Pupcakes® are all guaranteed to get tails waggin’. Plus, they offer personalized celebration cakes and firmly believe no one needs a reason to spoil their dogs. We couldn’t agree more.

Urban Tails Pet Supply

Curled up in the heart of Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood, Urban Tails Pet Supply not only has your chimkin treat needs covered, but their dog bakery carries a selection of cookies that are sure to see your good boy on his best behavior just in case.

Barkley’s Bistro

For our foodie frens with something a little more savory in mind, follow your nose to Barkley’s Bistro, home of their world famous Smokey Bones. These hickory-smoked beef bones, which are all-natural and always preservative-free, come in small, medium, and large sizes to safely match the size of your canine (since her eyes are always bigger than her belly). You can find them at the Downtown Saint Paul and Mill City farmers markets throughout the summer, but follow Barkley’s Bistro on Facebook to get updates about where else they’ll be puppin’ up next!

Know of other Twin Cities bakeries that make special noms for our besties? Bark at us in the comments! Trust us, there’s no such thing as too many treats to choose from.
