Pupdate Oct. 12, 2020
Hey frens. If you donated to the Zoomies IndieGoGo campaign, you likely received an email saying your money was being returned since the campaign didn’t reach its fundraising goal. But rest assured, just like your dog’s zoomies won’t quit, neither will the team bringing you Chicago’s first indoor dog park!
Although our campaign fell short, we were able to establish a number of relationships that have opened up some exciting new doors as to how we might acquire funding. We are still aiming on opening in 2021 and are doing everything in our power to see that through to fruition.
Zoomies Team
So what’s next? Zoomies is seeking partnerships with local businesses and community groups, such as Lakeview Dog Park Association and Brickstone Brewery. Email Zoomies if you’re interested in potential partnership opportunities.
As the Zoomies team has been touring locations, they decided to open their search to find a building that meets all their requirements (You want parking, right?!). Now they want your help! If you’ve already taken the survey, please resubmit to answer the question about how far dog’ll ride to zoom. And if you haven’t, what the pup are ya waitin’ for?
Chi-doggos, get ready for year-round dog weather. In 2021 (when this dang pandemic is hopefully behind us), Chicago is getting a 20,000 square-foot indoor dog park in the Irving Park area puppropriately-named Zoomies, and the pack behind the park reeaally wants your input (more on that in a sec!). But first, boy oh boy does this list of amenities have us drooling:
- 24/7 unlimited members-only key-card access (because you never know when Zoomies will strike!)
- Dedicated *free* parking spots
- Designated playspace just for smol fries
- Self-serve beer and wine on tap (safer than mastiff crowding at a bar)
- A coffee bar with local roasters on rotation
- Self-wash dog bath stations
- State-of-the-art non-toxic grass turf
- 3 months of FREE ADMISSION for anypawdy who just got ‘dopted
- And more! (they want your opinions…we know you have ‘em)
