Everyone knows dogs are wine enthusiasts (they can’t hold their licker). So why not pretend to be connoisseurs together? We dug up 3 dog-friendly Chicago wineries (and 2 great road trip destinations!) where classy canines can live it pup on a patio.

City Winery – West Loop

Lush grape vines and greenery on a vibey patio without having to move your car? We’re in. Dig into a full menu stacked with beverage options. And the best part about Urban Wine Country? Your pup’s ‘vited.

VIN312 – Ravenswood

Puppers are welcome outside at VIN312, Ravenswood’s own craft winery. Reviewers love the urban-rustic, speakeasy vibes; your stinky sommelier will appreciate the craft. VIN312 ships grapes from California and Washington vineyards in addition to producing and barrel-aging wine in their own cellars.

Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery – Oak Lawn

Oak Lawn’s Wild Blossom Meadery & Winery is the only producer of mead on the Northern Illinois Wine Trail (ooh, fancy). Your dog will be v impressed to learn all about the hard work the bees do while knocking back a few on the dog-friendly patio. Talk about getting *buzzed* (I know—even your dog groaned at that one)!

Southwest Michigan Winery Roadtrips 

Hickory Creek Winery – Buchanan, MI

No bones about it, Hickory Creek Winery is the kind of place your dog always dreamed of getting married. Idyllic and picturesque, this Michigan spot is a must-sniff option for the vine-obsessed pooch. Oh, and did we mention the owner’s dog, Ranger?

Free Run Cellars – Berrien Springs, MI

This best-kept secret boutique winery boasts pawlenty of outdoor seating and vine views for days. Designed to appeal to both the seasoned wine expert (doggo) and the curious amateur (you), Free Run Cellars has something for everypawdy. Sneak your pal a bite of that seasonal fare—she deserves it.
