1. RiNo 5K

RiNo (27th & Larimer), Denver
Saturday, July 23, 8.30 a.m; registration required 

Is there anything more Denver than a 5K with your athletic pup, admiring street art, scorching heat, and drinking delish craft beer? We think not. Leash up your pup and head down to RiNo. Registration is $49.99 and includes an event T-shirt, two craft beer and seltzer tickets, and donation to Denver Rescue Mission.

2. Summer Concert Series

Bruz Off Fax and Bruz Beers Midtown, Denver
Saturday, July 23, 6–8 p.m. @ both Bruz locations

Your bark will get to boogie to the beat this Saturday as both Bruz Beers locations host FREE live music. Dakota Gray Band are bringing their bluegrass-folk music to Bruz Beers Midtown, while local rock act Matt Flaherty Band plays at Bruz Off Fax. Plus, it’s just a buck for a 4-ounce pour with purchase of a full draft.

3. A Day with the Dogs

Jaycee Park, Northglenn
Saturday, July 23, 8 a.m.–1 p.m; registration required

Get in touch with your inner pup this Saturday when Colorado Pooper Scoopers hosts their 2nd annual Day with the Dogs, perfect for fur babes and kiddos alike. This FREE event features a doggy photo booth, face painting, food trucks, music, trainers, and more.

4. Animal Communication with Crystal Healing

The Healing Studio, Broomfield (or tune in virtually)
Saturday, July 23, 10 a.m.–12 p.m; registration required

Ever wondered what your doggo is trying to tell you? Wish you could tell her how much she means to you? Check out this animal communication class hosted by the Healing Studio. The cost is $80 and you can choose between in-person and online options. You’ll learn the skill of sending and receiving messages with animals and even get a chance to practice with pup.

5. Bark at the Park

West Arvada Dog Park, Arvada 
Sunday, July 24, 9 a.m.–1 p.m. 

After all the heckin’ isolation of the past few years, both canines and hoomans are craving allll the hangs. This Sunday is the pawfect opportunity to meet new frens at Bark in the Park. There’ll be free samples, info from local dog-friendly businesses, West Arvada Dog Park swag available for purchase, and tail wags galore.

Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue

  • Every Saturday, Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue hosts an adoption event at the Petco in Arvada from 12–3 p.m. RMPR has been running since 2010 with the mission to rescue, foster, vet, and re-home unwanted shelter animals. Head over to this event to help them on their mission and find yourself a new furry bestie in the process!
