You’re already a champ at picking a patio that welcomes your pooch, and you know the best spots in town for shade, spacious seating, and water bowls. But have you discovered the holy grail of dog-friendly dining yet? Meet the three-course Canine Cuisine menu, featured at THREE pawesome local restaurants: Stanley’s Northeast Bar Room in NE Minneapolis, The Howe Daily Kitchen & Bar in South Minneapolis, and Pub 819 in Hopkins.

It’s just for dogs, and it’s totally drool-worthy.

Your dog will flip when she sees the offerings on paw. Start her off with a beef marrow bone or a smoked pig’s ear from Von Hanson’s. For main entrees, she can choose among five mouth-watering options like their famous turkey muttloaf, loaded with veggies, oats, and flax. (At brunch, they even have a “pooched” egg option!) Finish the feast with a non-dairy, just-for-pups, Izzy’s peanut butter banana pupcream sundae. Talk about a T-R-E-A-T.

A few other fun deets:

  • If you visit during Yappy Hour (3-6 pm), you’ll get $1 off all doggy entrees. And dogs eat FREE on Wednesday evenings (5-9 pm)!
  • The menu isn’t just for MN’s warmest months. When it gets chilly, you and Chester can head into Stanley’s Mutt Hut, their heated outdoor tent.
  • If your dog is more of a homebody, you can even get his meal delivered if you’re in the BiteSquad radius.
  • All pups get treated to a scratch-made Nilla Woofer, on the house. And of course, fresh bowls of water are always free for your four-legged friend.

These spots have tons of yummy options for humans too. Sidewalk Dog staff are dying to try Pub 819’s fig + brie burger with whiskey onions, Stanley’s shrimp kale Caesar salad with garlic toast, and The Howe’s vegan Thai curry bowl. YUM.

When you’re done chowing your way through the Canine Cuisine menu at Stanley’s, Pub 819, and The Howe, the dog menu at Rock Elm Tavern is also worth woofing about. (Editor’s note: Our Wine Pass scores you a FREE glass of wine at ALL FIVE of these supremely dog-friendly restaurants, plus 20 other dog-friendly spots around town. Get at it!)

Go forth and let Fido feast upon these delicious doggy menus (don’t forget to tell ‘em we sent you!), then help your human friends by leaving a review in our Directory.
