Get waggin’—it’s gonna be one heckin’ cool weekend! Get ready to dive in snout-first—here are few drool-worthy events fur you to chew on.
Fall Into Damen at Night (5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 20) Has your dog ever… seen Ravenswood… AFTER DARK?! Well, this is her chance! Head to Damen Ave. between Leland and Ainslie for lo-o-lo (loads of local) pup-up vendors and deals. And as far as in-store highlights, 4 Legs is even offering 10% off doggie goodie bags, so your girl won’t break her budget.
Skinner Bark Turns 5 (3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22) West Loop’s very own dog park, Skinner Bark, is throwing itself a 5th birthday party! With pupcake and treats, fur-friendly massages and a bone-shaped pool, your dog will feel like it’s HIS birthday. Plus, all ticket levels and sponsorships go toward the park’s upkeep this year and beyond! Fun zoomie places don’t grow on trees, ya know.
Pumpkin Daze Opening at Abbey Farms (10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21) When we say Abbey Farms is home to the largest Corn Maze in Kane County AND a 40-acre pumpkin farm, your dog has a right to think we’re lying. But we’re not. Head to Aurora to see for yourselves, grab a craft beer and peep Hotel Transylvania and Ghostbusters at this Saturday’s Pumpkin Daze kickoff extravaganza!
Fall Fest at Konow’s Corn Maze (10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21) If you’re ‘round Homer Glen, it’s finally the season for getting lost with your dog amongst over 3 miles of corn! Konow’s is kicking off Fall Fest this weekend with live entertainment, too: a Johnny Cash & June Carter tribute band as well as covers of hits throughout the decades by Maggie Speaks. We don’t think they take requests, but hey, your dog can try.
