3 Things To Do With Your Dog This Weekend In Chicago

TGI (almost) F! If this week has left you panting, it’s time to put up all four of your feet and relax. The only downside to a restful weekend? There are so many awesome events happening that you won’t want to miss! If you’re looking to get out and sniff around town at least once, here are a few ideas we’re tossing out for you to catch:

Montrose Dog Beach Cleanup (9/15, 10:30am-12:30pm) Are you and your good dog doggone do-gooders? Then lend a helpful paw in cleaning up Chicago’s most popular dog beach this Saturday! Nothing feels better than giving back to the community and making new friends while doing it. Stick around afterward to play together on a fresh beach.

End of Summer Canine Cruise (9/15, 10:00 – 11:45am) A dog-friendly cruise?! You boat-er believe it! Luxuriate on this 90-minute journey around the lake and river courtesy of the Real Dog Moms of Chicago. There’s nothing quite like viewing the city from the water and feeling the wind in your fur–especially with a cold drink in your hand (or a bowl of fresh water at your paws). Registration is now open.

Skinner Bark 4th Birthday Party (9/16, 3:00-6:00pm) Skinner Bark Park is turning four! That’s 28 in dog park years. Proceeds help cover annual park maintenance fees so that the fun can continue well after the party ends. With an agility course, doggy photographer, tasty treats and a pool party, your dog may have so much fun you’ll both forget that tomorrow is Monday.
