3 Things to Do With Your Dog This Weekend in Chicago

If this week has left you panting, it’s time to put up your paws and relax. But if you’re looking to get out and sniff around town, here are a few ideas we’re tossing out for you to catch:

November Pool Party (3 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17) If you’re already missing the dog days of summer, hit up the Real Dog Moms of Chicago to bring a splash of fun into your late autumn. A $25 ticket includes a 30-minute swim for your pup, margs and ‘zza for you (bless) and a nice, calm evening at home after you’re both all tuckered out from the exercise. Eating pizza is exercise.

Red Door’s Winter Bazaar (11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18) Head to this admission-free winter wonderland of local vendors to let Fido sniff out his Christmas wish list this holiday season. BONUS: plunk your pup onto St. Nick’s lap to knock out this year’s Christmas card photo!

Bucket O’Blood Books and Records (open 12:15 to 9 p.m. daily) Does your moody dog insist that being goth is not just a phase? Bucket O’Blood Books and Records in Avondale specializes in sci-fi, fantasy and horror fiction, horror movies, and heavy metal, hardcore, and punk used and new vinyl, and they’re totally punk-pup friendly. Go ahead, lean into the fact that it gets dark at 4:30pm now.

What other awesome events are on your agendog this weekend? Tell us in the comments, and don’t forget to submit all of your pup-centric events to our calendar. Happy adventuring!
