Dog-Friendly Minneapolis-St. Paul Wedding Venues

Looking for a dog-friendly wedding venue near you? Here’s what the Twin Cities have to offer.

One of the most beautiful buildings in the Twin Cities, the Landmark Center welcomes your well-behaved pup for pre-ceremony photos, as well as during the ceremony. Your guests will be wowed by this historic landmark.

Minneapolis Club

This five-star private club will let your pup get in on the action and participate in the wedding ceremony, but they’ll have to head home after that. Note: the event space is open to the public for rental.

Semple Mansion

This simply enchanting, award-winning wedding destination is held in a house of over 19,000 square feet. This spot allows pups during the ceremony, but they are asked to leave after that.

Hotel Ivy

If modern decor and charming architecture are your thing, the very dog-friendly Hotel Ivy will be a great fit for you. This venue welcomes pups of up to 50 lbs, and your dog is also welcome to stay on-site after your big day!

Day Block Event Center

This venue is located in the heart of the Riverfront District in downtown Minneapolis very near to the Gold Medal Park, The Guthrie Theater, and the Stone Arch Bridge. Pups are welcome to join you for your wedding!

ARIA

With exposed brick and steel beams, ARIA provides the industrial chic aesthetic of your wedding Pinterest board dreams. And yes, they allow dogs to participate in the love fest.

Not looking to get hitched in Minneapolis or St. Paul? Don’t worry! We dug up lots of dog-friendly wedding venue options for you, too.

Earl Brown Heritage Center

This sprawling, beautiful Brooklyn Center venue invites your pup to join you for outdoor weddings. The restored historic estate makes for stunning pictures.

Coop’s Event Barn

This elegant, simple, spacious venue in Dodge Center wants to make your wedding magical. The bride and groom’s pup is allowed if you call ahead, but other pups will need babysitters that day.

Grand View Lodge

This Nisswa spot is especially dog-friendly! For starters, your pup is welcome for on-site ceremonies and festivities. Pet-friendly accommodations are also available on-site for small dogs of 25 lbs or less, and doggy daycare is available at the nearby Northland Pet Lodge.

Green Acres Event Center

This Eden Prairie venue welcomes well-behaved furry friends during both the ceremony and the reception. Fido can even be the ring bearer, as long as he’s pup to the task.

Majestic Oaks

Majestic Oaks in Ham Lake lets pups join in on outdoor ceremonies only, but that’s not a bad deal–during warm months, this venue is downright, well, majestic.

The Enchanted Barn

OK, so this one’s technically outside MN, but we thought this pawsitively picturesque spot in Hillsdale, Wisconsin, was worth a share. It’s a breathtaking setting, and you can be married in a restored 1800s barn with your dog of honor.

Hope Glen Farm

Surrounded by natural beauty and open space for your pup to prance through, this Cottage Grove venue welcomes your dog for each stage of your wedding festivities. They provide everything you need and so much more (goats and chickens, if you were wondering).

Located on beautiful grounds, Shoreview Community Center allows your pup to get in on the wedding-day action for outdoor ceremonies and receptions! Choose from the Haffeman pavilion or the gorgeous garden space.

Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery

If you think that wine & dogs is the second-best combination out there (after you and your partner), Chankaska Creek in Kasota is the venue for you. Pups are welcome during the ceremony at Chankaska’s multiple on-site ceremony location options.

Cedarhurst Mansion

Located on the gorgeous Cedarhurst Historic Country Estate in Cottage Grove (which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places), this venue allows dogs to join you for your special day.

Tips for Dogs in Wedding Ceremonies

We’ve got the quick sniff on how to include your dog in your wedding and a list of the cutest wedding outfits for dogs. See below for more tips on including pup in your mastiff day.

  • Do your research. The degree of dog-friendliness can vary by venue, so be sure to get all of the details before finalizing plans for your big day. For example, some dog-friendly wedding venues allow your dog for the ceremony or for photos, but not the reception.
  • Have a plan. Designating someone Fido knows well–besides you or your partner–to be in charge of his care is in everyone’s best interest. You’ll be grateful not to worry about pupper’s whereabouts as you’re pulled in a million other directions that day.
  • Schedule help. If you fall in love with a spot that only allows pups for a portion of the time, some dog handler companies offer wedding services. Kal Pals Pet Care will bring your pup to and from the venue for you, and Doggy Social MN will be your paw-sonal pet attendant, chauffeuring your pooch to day-of grooming, your wedding venue, and making sure he gets exercise, potty breaks, and plenty of attention. They’ll even take wedding day photos from your pup’s point of view.
  • Put Fido’s comfort first. Just because you want your furry best friend on the dance floor ‘til the DJ plays that last song, you know your dog best. If the people, lights, music, and smells might be too much for Fido, consider reining in your plans. After all, he loves you and not what you’ve done with the table settings.
