5 Dog-Friendly Seattle Airbnbs for a Staycation

National and international travel are basically non-existent right now thanks to COVID-19, so if you want to “get away,” a staycation is your best bet. Luckily the Pacific Northwest has many unique staycation options, from farms or boats to tiny homes and cottages! And the best part? TONS of them are dog-friendly. Here are five of our favorite dog-friendly Seattle Airbnbs for the perfect PNW staycation.

1. Classic Tugboat

Seattle’s known for having one of the largest floating home communities in the entire world, so if you’re a landlubber like this author, maybe it’s time to dip your paw into boat life! A stay on this 1988 Nordic tugboat might just do the trick. Moored off Lake Union, the boat accommodates up to four hoomans (and your puppo, of course) and has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, wifi, television, and deck to take in the view.

2. Farmhouse Retreat

How does your doggo do with alpacas? If the answer is GREAT, a stay at Courter Country Farm is just what the dogtor ordered! The beautiful home outside Poulsbo has 20 whole acres for you and your fren to enjoy, and is home to alpacas, rabbits, dwarf goats, chicken, ducks, and the host’s Golden Retrievers. You’ll have the entire top of the country farmhouse, a private space, though you’ll be sharing a bathroom. Amenities include heat/AC, wifi, cable, and mini-kitchen area.

3. Garden Cottage

This private garden cottage in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle is the perfect quaint getaway for your furry friend and you to get some zen time, complete with a stocked kitchenette, full bathroom, bedroom with French doors that open to a garden deck, TV, wifi, and parking. Well-trained dogs under 25 pounds are welcome so long as you clean up after ‘em. Beautiful gardens don’t stay beautiful with doggo’s doodoos.

4. Dreamy Tiny Home

Size doesn’t matter! Just ask this 156-square-foot dreamy little home in Clinton. Tucked into the woods with a loft bedroom and skylight for stargazing, you’ll also have a mini fridge, wood stove & stove top, and eco-friendly composting toilet. Tiny home sleeps up to three people and dogs are welcome, but note that there are other friendly dogs on the property, so puppo needs to play well with others.

5. Mother Goose Cabin

Minutes outside Langley, you can stay on an organic hobby farm filled with geese, chickens, and roosters. You should probably keep pupper on a leash when you’re around them, but hoomans are welcome to interact and even feed the sassy geese! Groomed trails lead to The Whidbey Institute’s huge nature preserve. The space sleeps up to two adults (though some athleticism is required to get up to the loft bed). Note that cell service on Whidbey can be touch and go (pawfect place to unplug).
