In the Before Times, some of our travel adventures were lined with palm trees and sandy beaches, towering museums and cobblestone streets, and picturesque mountain panoramas. But it also sometimes involved leaving your best fren behind. And after the last couple of years of spending TONS of time at home, it’s just gotten even tuff-er to leave their cute lil’ faces. Good thing you don’t have to! Your doggo will be delighted to join you at one of these 6 dog-friendly hotels in Denver.
1. Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, Autograph Collection
Does rich history and vintage charm make your pal’s tail wag? Check out downtown Denver’s beloved Brown Palace. Opened during the Gold Rush in 1892, this hotel is designed in a classic Italian Renaissance style with ornate accents, including 25 medallions carved in stone, each of which depicts a Colorado animal. Bonus points: Brown Palace also supports one of our fave local charities, Max Fund No Kill Shelter.
Dog-friendly deets: One dog per room. Must weigh 60 pounds or less. Non-refundable $125 pet deposit. Pet treats, dog bowls, and bedding are available for free. Please note that pets must remain leashed at all times and can’t be left unattended in hotel rooms.
2. Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver
For a taste of luxury at an affordable price, this boutique hotel pampers our most discerning four-legged frens (oh, and humans). Kimpton Hotel Monaco features free nightly wine hours, modern bright decor, fluffy dog beds, and a map of the best local dog walks. Located in the heart of downtown Denver, the hotel is walking distance to Railyard Dog Park, breweries, shops, museums, and bars (sniff out our directory fur more).
Dog-friendly deets: There are no breed restrictions or pet fees. Well-behaved dogs may be left unattended in hotel rooms.
3. The Curtis
Everypawdy loves to be treated like a celeb, right? Staff at The Curtis roll out the red carpet, taking Polaroids of your pooch for their fluffy hall-of-fame in the lobby. And listen up, puppy movie buffs: Each floor is themed with funky pop-culture decor. We’re told there’s a Ghostbusters room. Enough said!
Dog-friendly deets: The Curtis welcomes three pets of any size for a cleaning fee of $25 per pet per night. Well-behaved pets may be left unattended. Treats and bowls are available by request at the front desk.
4. Art Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton
Henlo, fluffy aficionados of art and the finer things in life! The chic and modern Art Hotel Denver is calling your name. Located downtown near the Denver Art Museum, the hotel features a cutting-edge unique facade and light art installation, modern artwork, and mountain views. Reviewers rave about excellent guest services, clean, updated rooms, and the on-site restaurant, Fire.
