4 Things to Do With Your Dog This Weekend in Denver

This hole-in-the-wall coffee shop in the tail-wagging ‘hood, RiNo, welcomes doggos of all types on their hip rooftop (yes, rooftop) and their colorful front patio. Help your poochers enjoy some extra pats while you get caffeinated. Plus there’s CBD coffee, housemade nitro cold brew, and free WiFi so you can werk, werk, werk, werk, werk.

DOGtober Fest (All Day, Saturday, September 27) RiNo Brewery is hosting the most furbulous dog-friendly Oktoberfest in all of Denver! Dress up your pup fur the doggie costume contest, make a custom dog tag, leash, or bandana for your four-legged BFF, and bid on some cool mother puppin’ prizes in the silent auction. Bonus? Big Bones Canine Rescue will be there and you may even leave with a fur-sibling for your fave companion. Did we mention the Oktoberfest has beer, too? Cheers, pups!

Day of the Dog Virtual Race (All Day, Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28) Does your floof love running but doesn’t get along well with others? Then join the Day of the Dog Virtual Race! Pick a run, walk, or jog anywhere from one mile to a whole marathon at your own pace, in your location, and on your own time. Pup, yes. You’ll report your finishing time for some prizes and 15% of every registration will go toward the Freedom Service Dogs of America in Denver. Cough up that dough, dawgs!

Turn-in BBQ at Joyride Brewing (12 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 28) Bring your goober to Joyride Brewing for some amazing pets, sniffs, and doggie bloops! Hope your doggo isn’t a vegetarian ‘cause Turn-in BBQ food truck will pull-up for some major delicious eats. Named for the infamous turn-in boxes that contestants use to submit their dishes at barbecue competitions, this truck has some of the paws-down best ‘cue in America. Bonus?
