5 Dog-Friendly Colorado Cideries

Is your pooch mean-mugging you for going to yet another brewery and ordering your standard IPA? I mean c’mon hooman, you gotta switch things up sometimes! We absolutely adore breweries, but on a scorching Colorado summer’s eve, ciders can really hit the spot. Impress pup and her refined palate by hitting up one of these 5 dog-friendly Colorado cideries.

P.S. Keep doggo close with our exclusive Patio Leash™—it’s the pawfect length for when you’re out and about!

1. Stem Ciders

Does your woof like to shake his tail to live music, play trivia, and admire murals while his hooman sips on cider? Ruv course he does. Stem Ciders, located in the heart of the RiNo arts district, offers entertainment and promises that the world is your orchard. Enjoy a cider flight with creative flavors like Chile guava, lavender, and carrot ginger turmeric. The urban patio offers decent space but lots of foot traffic, so if pup has the bark vocal range of Mariah Carey, it might be best to skip this one.

2. Colorado + 49 Cidery and Pub

With locations in both Golden and Wheat Ridge, Colorado + 49 Cidery and Pub perfectly marries house-made ale yeast ciders with a scratch-themed kitchen. Check out their 2–6 p.m. yappy hour for deals on house ciders and appetizers like black bean hummus or hand cut fries. Pup’ll drool over the 29 drink options, including craft beers and ciders. The spacious patio offers umbrella-shaded tables and scenic mountain views.

3. Waldenschänke Ciders + Coffee

We double-dog dare you to say Waldenschänke Ciders + Coffee 10 times fast. Winner of USA Today’s 2021 and 2022 Best Denver Cidery, Waldenschänke is located in the Sunnyside neighborhood. They are well-known for Swiss-inspired, unfiltered ciders, locally roasted fresh coffee, and food trucks. Friendly servers have treatos and water bowls ready behind the bar for your very good boy. Note: doggos are welcome in the small Cidergarten only.

4. BOCO Cider

Nestled in dreamy Boulder, BOCO Cider serves up 12+ gluten-free ciders, live music, comedy, and food trucks. Trunk + Twig maple cider and tart Agave Sour cider are def puppamended. For those who don’t imbibe, they also serve freshly made kombucha and root beer. Note: their patio is more Chihuahua-sized than Husky, so be ready to get cozy with fellow cider-lovers.

5. St. Vrain Cidery

Listen up cider hounds: St. Vrain Cidery is a mutts-do and well worth the drive to Longmont. The largest all-cider taproom in Colorado, St. Vrain serves dry, American-style ciders made with all-natural, locally-sourced ingredients. The patio is extra cozy, so it’s best for pups with chill vibes only.
