Things to Do Near Minneapolis This Weekend

1. Pupper Pool Pawty

HeadFlyer Brewing, Minneapolis
Saturday, June 25, 12–4 p.m.

Raise a pint and cool off at this doggy pool party hosted by HeadFlyer Brewing. There’ll be craft brews for floofs (NA of course), Barkuterie boxes, custom dog gifts, and locally-made dog treatos. Don’t worry humans, The Corndog Company and Headflyer will make sure you’re fed and hydrated too! And, as if that isn’t enough reason to attend, they’ll be collecting donations for People & Pets Together, a pet food and supply shelf in Minneapolis. Lend a paw by bringing any extra food, treats, toys, leashes, and gently used items for their #GiveAF charitable program.

2. Destress with Dog Therapy

Stalk & Spade, Wayzata
Saturday, June 25, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.; registration required

Had a long week? Pop over to Stalk & Spade in Wayzata to de-stress with the help of North Star Therapy Animals. Come for all the pets & doggy love, stay for the Wayzata Art Experience (more below)! If you’ve already got your own dog therapist at home (bless her heart), you can bring her along to this plant-based, dairy-free, dog-friendly patio to kick start the weekend.

3. Wayzata Art Experience

Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m.–Sunday, June 26, 4 p.m.

Bring your lil’ pupcasso to the Wayzata Art Experience this weekend. We’re woofing about a two day celebration of art, music, food, and fun for pups of all ages. With over 100 fine art exhibits, food trucks galore, beer and wine, sailboat rides, and live music scattered along Lake Street, pupper’s never gonna wanna go home!

Things to Do Near St. Paul This Weekend

1. 5K Cider Run

Thor’s Hard Cider, Stillwater
Saturday, June 25, 11 a.m.; registration required

An untimed fun run, a free craft cider from Thor’s Hard Cider, a collector’s pint glass or seasonal swag item, a chance to win sweet door prizes, AND access to all the event festivities? Ah, pup yeah! Your furry lil’ track star can run right alongside you, cheer you on from the dog-friendly patio, or just get her zoomies out in the apple orchard. Get your paws on your ticket soon!

2. A St. Paul Summer Soiree

Itchin’ to stretch those legs? Take your fur babe out for a few shenanigans in St. Paul this weekend. Start it off with ‘sploring Saint Paul’s 26 miles of the Mississippi River and visit the High Bridge Dog Park where you’ll score pawesome views of the city from the High Bridge itself.

After the zoomies are out and all the furry frens have been made, treat yo’ self to a cold bevvie at Saint Paul Brewing. Nestled between layers of bluffs, Saint Paul Brewing is a truly one-of-a-kind destination and puppers are welcomed inside and out. Get your paws on their rotating small-batch beers, crisp seltzers, and freshly-crafted pizzas. We highly recommend the German Shepards’ Pie for the floof—she’ll luv ya forever.

Underdog Rescue 

  • Head to Bentley’s Pet Stuff in Excelsior where Underdog Rescue might introduce you to your new furry bestie. It’s gonna be a dog-gone good time. Come meet some adorable, adoptable pups on Saturday, June 25th from 12:30–2:00 pm. Don’t furget you can look up pup profiles on their website to see which cuties will be attending.
  • Underdog Rescue will also be at Pub 819 this Sunday, June 26th, for Pints for Pups! From 6–9 p.m., shake some paws on the pawtio® while you enjoy a brew or two. Also, $1 from every pint sold will go back to the rescue—now that’s something we can woof “cheers” to.
