1. National Fetch Day
Watering Bowl, Denver
Saturday, October 15, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
There are two kinds of dogs in this world—those who fetch, and those who stand there looking confused. Pups who live for the game may think this day is just for them, but we say bring all the good boys and girls to the Watering Bowl to celebrate National Fetch Day. Sounds like a grrreat excuse for a dog party, right? You may even score some swag from Chuckit!
2. Brews & Boos
New Terrain Brewing Company, Golden
Saturday, October 15, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Throw back a few brews with your best drinking buddy this weekend at New Terrain Brewing Company. On Saturday, floof can rock her best spooky attire for a chance to win a goodie bag in the dog costume contest. Got a case of the zoomies after drinking? Burn off energy at the Tony Grampsas Dog Park next door before heading home.
3. Fall Bazaar
Sloan’s Lake, Denver
Saturday, October 15, 12–6 p.m.
Denver BAZAAR’s third and final Fall Bazaar is this weekend, and they’ve saved the biggest for last! Their signature Shop & Sip marketplace will be at Sloan’s Lake this weekend. This outdoor market features 80+ vendors, live DJs, craft cocktails, street food, and more. The event is free to attend, but you can purchase add-ons to enjoy DIY craft workshops, a drink token package, or bottomless mimosas.
4. Growl-O-Ween
Three Dog Bakery, Denver
Saturday, October 15, 12–6 p.m.; Tickets required
Ever wonder why the little humans get to have all the trick-or-treating fun? It’s just not fair, so we sniffed out an opportunity for the woofers to experience this Halloween tradition. Three Dog Bakery is hosting trick-or-treating around the LoHi neighborhood for pups. There’s also a dog costume contest and treats for well-behaved humans.
5. Westbound & Down Brewing 5k
Westbound & Down Brewing, Idaho Springs
Sunday, October 16, 10 a.m.; Registration Required
Why run for exercise when you can run for beer? Leash up your pint-sized jogging buddy and head to Westbound & Down Brewing for a 5k-ish fun run that starts and ends at their Idaho Springs taproom. Complete the course as fast or slow as you please, then celebrate with a free local craft brew at the finish line.
