We’ve dished out all sorts of ideas for pup-friendly fun, and now December is like putting the cherry on top—your chance to make a few more memories with your dog before the new year. Start with these events around Denver this weekend.

1. Ugly Sweater 5k
Left Hand Brewing Company, Longmont
Saturday, December 3, 10 a.m.; Registration required
If you and pup aren’t wearing ugly sweaters at some point this month, is it really the holiday season? Don your ugliest at Left Hand Brewing Company’s 5k-ish fun run that starts and ends at their Longmont taproom. You and your pint-sized jogging buddy can complete the course as fast or slow as you please, then celebrate with a free local craft brew at the finish line.
2. Holiday Market and Tree Lighting
City Center Circle, Englewood
Saturday, December 3, 2–6 p.m.
Nothing kicks off the holiday season better than an enchanting tree lighting. Celebrate the ho-ho-holidays with the City of Englewood this weekend where you can shop for gifts at the holiday market, nosh on food truck yums, and watch as the mayor lights up the tree at 5:30. The outdoor portion of this event is dog-friendly, but pups are not allowed inside The Guild where Santa will be. But don’t worry, we found pawlenty of other opportunities for doggos to see Santa!
3. Furry Pictures with Santa
12512 West Ken Caryl Ave., Littleton
Saturday, December 3, 3:30–5:30 p.m.
It’s officially December and that holiday card isn’t making itself! Take your pup to see Santa cuz nobody wants to celebrate the season without a pic of your merry mutt on the fridge. Pets, kids, and families are all welcome to share their wish lists and pose for photos. Tickets are $10 and will be donated to the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley.
4. Holiday Bazaar
Aspen Grove Shopping Center, Littleton
Sunday, December 4, 1–6 p.m.
Find something unique for everyone on your list at Denver Makers Market’s largest outdoor holiday market. More than 100 vendors and 10 food trucks await you and floof for a shop-til-you-drop and sniff-til-you-drool experience. Supporting local artisans, crafters, and vendors will ensure you end up on the nice list fur sure!
5. Fab-Yule-Us Holiday
Aspen Grove Shopping Center, Littleton
Sunday, December 4, 3–6 p.m.
Celebrate the howlidays with a jolly lineup of activities at this dog-friendly holiday party. Head to the BARBOX Garden and enjoy cookie decorating, crafts, cocoa and s’mores, an ugly sweater contest, face painting, music, and photos with Santa. While you’re there, check out Aspen Grove’s tree lot where you can search for the perfect Christmas tree.
Life’s Better With a Pup

Rescue Puppy Yoga
- Spend your Sunday morning saying “namaste” to dogs in need of homes. Pounce over to Call to Arms Brewing Company for Rescue Puppy Yoga on December 4 from 11 a.m.–noon. Class is 45 minutes long and the final 15 minutes will be spent playing with pups, taking pics, and filling out an adoption application if you’re ready.
