Your adventure pup doesn’t let a little cold slow him down, and neither should you. We found five ways to keep the party going all weekend long. Whether you want to hula at a tropical party, cozy up in a heated beer tent, or pick up some last minute gifts, your doggo will love these Denver events.
Belleview Beer Garden, Denver
Thursday, December 15–Sunday, December 18, Opens at 4 p.m. Thurs/Fri and 12 p.m. Sat/Sun
All month long the always dog-friendly Belleview Beer Garden has been hosting warm winter fun in their heated ski chalet. This weekend is your final chance to cozy up with pup and enjoy après-ski vibes, hot drinks, craft beer and cocktails, trivia on Thursday, live music on Friday, ugly sweater Saturday, and bottomless mimosas Sunday.
TAXI Maker Space, 3515 Ringsby Ct., Denver
Friday, December 16, 12–7 p.m.
Mele Kalikimaka! Warm up with this Hawaiian Christmas pawty featuring a tropical costume contest, cookie decorating, holiday beverages, and last minute gift shopping. Wait, go back, did we just say cookies? Heck yeah we did, and not just for the hoomans. In addition to decorating gingerbread people, they’ll have gingerbread dog treats to decorate as well!
Belmar, Downtown Lakewood
Friday, December 16, 5–9 p.m.
Celebrate the Ho-Ho-Holidays in Downtown Lakewood this weekend with a Santa meet-and-greet plus Fido’s Holiday Market featuring local vendors selling the perfect prezzies for your favorite pups. A gift-wrapping station makes this a one-stop shop and wrap situation, and the holiday bar located near the skating rink will ensure you don’t go home thirsty.
Coal Mine Ave Brewing, Littleton
Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, 1–6 p.m.
We know doggos can be major pupcrastinators, so we sniffed out this dog-friendly Last Minute Market to help finish floof’s holiday shopping before it’s too late. Grab a pint and shop at Coal Mine Ave Brewing—a craft brewery and dog park combo. Dogs are allowed at the 2,500 square foot off leash dog park and leashed dogs are welcome on the covered south patio which features a 60′ long gas powered radiant heater.
Grounds for Dismissal Coffee, Denver
Saturday, December 17, 4:30–6:30 p.m.; tickets required
Hot bevvies, sugary snackies, and fireside movies—is there anything better this time of year? Head to Grounds for Dismissal Coffee where these things await you and your whole fam (pup, too!) Each ticket includes 1 s’mores board (enough for 10 s’mores) and 2 bottomless hot chocolates (plus kid hot chocolates are free). They’ll have a fire pit and heaters outside, but bring something to keep you and your woofer comfy cozy while you enjoy one of the three different holiday movies playing.
Life’s Better With a Pup
No wet nose to boop? What a heckin’ tragedy. We want to help you fix that, so check out where you can adopt below. And who knows, you might just meet your new slobbery soulpup.
- Stop by Westminster Brewing Co. on Sunday, December 18 from 2–4 p.m. to meet some of the cutest adoptable dogs around! While you’re there, support L.O.L.A.’s Rescue by throwing back a few pints cuz Westminster Brewing is donating $1 for every pint sold.
