Have a Patio Pawty with Your Lil’ Pupperoni at These Denver Pizza Places

We could say something about how you deserve a reward at the end of the long day, but honestly no one ever needs an excuse to eat pizza. There are few things that go better together than a hot, cheesy slice of pizza and an ice-cold beer, except for enjoying them with pup by your side. We rounded up the h*ckin’ best Denver pizza places with dog-friendly patios.

Kaos Pizza

The spacious, shaded, ivy-adorned patio of Kaos Pizzeria is pawfect for doggos doin’ a chill. While your rover relaxes, you’ll dig noshing on their pizza made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients in a wood-fired oven. Plus, the friendly folks at Kaos are super accommodating to food allergies, so it’s a grrreat option for people on special diets. Ps.

Proto’s Pizzeria

Just down the street from our frens at Denver Beer Co.,  puppare  to kick off your Highlands crawl the right way at Proto’s Pizzeria. Come for the fancy Neopolitan ‘za with unique toppingsThe Sour Kraut, anyone?), stick around for the canine camaraderie and pleading puppy eyes. . Proto’s boasts local awards for Best Pizza and Best Cannoli, so doo make sure to save room for dessert.

Mellow Mushroom

Enjoy an A+ Denver experience with some people- and pup-watching on Mellow Mushroom’s 16th Street patio while munching on mother puppin’ unreal garlic cheese bread. Their menu features stone-baked pizzas, munchies, burgers, sandwiches, beer, and gluten-free crusts. Just make sure your leashed floof likes other animals, ‘cause the patio gets crowded and you never know what might come walking down the 16th Street Mall (horses, ferrets, and cats included).

Double D’s Sourdough Pizzeria

Is your vegan, gluten-free doggo tired of eating those bland, freezer-burned pizzas from the organic section? Show her she deserves better at Double D’s Sourdough Pizza, where they don’t charge extra for folks on special diets. Make sure Fido is friendly and on-leash for the patio (it’s tight quarters, but worth it) for all the sniffs, snoots, and boops with other puppers at their Broomfield location. Head to 4 Noses Brewing Company on your way back to Denver for a quick flight of delicious brews.

Black Shirt Brewing

Although the main attraction (ahem, beer) isn’t pizza, the wood-fired ovens at Black Shirt Brewing are top notch! At the northern tip of RiNo, this under-the-radar brewery offers a pup-friendly beer garden and front patio, plus plenty of furbulous live music. Be sure to take a stroll down Walnut St. and show off your cutie patootie to all the people wandering the artsy, mural-covered neighborhood.

Old Chicago Pizza

We promise it’s worth the drive to Lakewood to get amazing tableside water bowl service for you and your pup at Old Chicago Pizza. Although ordering any deep-dish pizza is obvs the right choice to make here, may we suggest the Chicken Bacon Mac with golden beer cheese sauce? ‘Scuse us while we wipe up our drool. !

Cosmo’s Pizza

Featuring two locations in Denver with patios, Cosmo’s Pizza has a lil’ something for everypuppy. They serve up classic hand tossed pizzas, salads, and calzones. Night owls and pawty pooches will love their late-night hours. Their patio is small, with no shade, so make sure you have a mellow pooch and bring extra water (or opt for a cooler day).
