Alimagnet Dog Park

Alimagnet Dog Park

In 2005, this suburban gem of a pup playland was voted one of the best dog parks in the nation by Dog Fancy magazine. The seven-acre park is fenced and has a pond, a heated weather shelter, a special space for elderly or special needs dogs, a walking trail, and even a dog-washing station. A large pond is available for pups who love to swim. Permit encouraged but not required. Parking available.

A really fun park with a sense of community among dog owners who frequent it. Brody loves doing loops around the pond!

In the winter it is a great park with heat in the shelter and plenty of lighting for evenings. But in the warm months it can be rather muddy and the pond isn’t fenced in so if you don’t want your dog in there they better be obedient or go to another park. Also, there are often notices about the poor quality of the pond water which has caused some dogs to become ill.

This was a great park overall, however there was a lady who yelled and cursed at my fiance and a friend while we were there for being on the frozen pond. This was outrageous since we were there after weeks of below zero temps near the end of january. I’m sure this was a once only experience but unfortunately I dont think that I will attend this park until spring for the off chance that this were to happen again… :/
