Grab those sunnies and a leash bc there’s things to do this Memorial Day weekend in the Windy City! Sniff out these fun things to do in Chicago this weekend for you and pup.
Gallagher Way, Chicago
Sunday, May 29, 12-5 p.m.
This Sunday, Gallagher Way is hosting a summer kick-off that includes doggo-friendly vendors, treats, and a chance for pup to run through their pop-jets (yap about refreshing). While canines cool off, hoomans can grab drinks and play lawn games. And best of all, it’s for a good cause! The Anti-Cruelty Society will be on site collecting supplies for pets in need. You can find more info, including a list of items they’re collecting, here.
Don’t furget—good boys and girls need to be leashed and updated on their vaccines to attend.
Wintrust Field, Schaumburg
Saturday, May 28, 3 p.m.
Take in America’s fave pastime and catch a game this weekend with your best bud! It’s doggo day at Wintrust Field where you can watch the Schaumburg Boomers take on the Tri-City ValleyCats. After all, baseball is pretty close to fetch right?
Hotel Zachary, Chicago
Sunday, May 29, 3-5 p.m.
Treat yourself and pupper to some drinks and patio time this weekend cuz Hotel Zachary is hosting a spring yappy hour. A ticket gets a drink for the humans, a goodie bag for the pooches, and a donation to Live Like Roo, a nonprofit that supports pets and families through cancer diagnoses. Dress your best friend in a spring theme, and you’ll be entered into a raffle for a Hotel Zachary prize, like a one-night stay!
Please note: doggos must be leashed inside.
No pupper in your life yet? Get a heckin’ dog already!
If you live in a world without tail-wags—what a heckin’ tragedy—check out this Chicago adoption event!
- Stop by Pet People in Aurora this Saturday to find a new furry family member. Rover Rescue will be there from 12-2 p.m. with adoptable pups and information on fostering. Check their website in advance to see which doggos will be in attendance!
