Stanley’s is you and your woofer’s one-stop-shop for everything fun! With a great menu for you AND one for your floof, this dog-friendly patio is perfect for any time of the year. A heated, covered patio, complimentary Nilla Woofer, and good times are waiting for you at Stanley’s!
3. Aster Cafe
Looking for a refreshing cocktail on a hot summer day? Aster Cafe is here for you, and their patio is here for your pup. Chill out to some live music while Fido soaks up some belly rubs from the amazing staff!
4. Sandcastle
What do gorgeous lake views, fast service, sustainable ingredients, and pup-loving staff all have in common? They all exist at Sandcastle on Lake Nokomis! You and Fido can soak up the summer sun and enjoy some locally-sourced chow on their pet-friendly patio!
5. Stray Dog
Stray dogs are never a good thing, unless you’re talkin’ bout this Hennepin Ave. patio. Stray Dog has no shortage of menu categories, so you’ll be sure to find the most delish meal! Not to mention your woofer will be in absolute HEAVEN on their outdoor patio. Dog is right there in the name, so you know it’s the place to be!
6. Hola Arepa
Are you more fond of the spicier things in life? Then add Hola Arepa to your list of must-go places. Their dog-friendly patio is fully equipped with shade-offering umbrellas, and of course some of the best arepas in Minneapolis.
7. Black Dog Coffee and Wine Bar
Coffee AND wine? Sign us up! Black Dog is the PAW-fect place to spend time in St. Paul. Not only do they carry a variety of wine and food, but they also provide treats and fresh water for your fur babies. Don’t miss their live music selections from their pup-loving patio!
8. Burger Moe’s
When you’re craving a nice, juicy burger (and fries of course), head to Burger Moe’s on happenin’ West 7th Street in St. Paul. You and pup can enjoy a burger, brew, and ball game all on their dog-friendly patio. Get your tail wagging for their fun and sports bar-esque atmosphere!
9. Hai Hai
Hai Hai is a Northeast Minneapolis restaurant with a focus on the fresh, bold flavors and textures of Southeast Asia, with featured menu items like Hanoi Sticky Rice and savory Vietnamese crepes. They also offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, plus local craft beer and unique cocktails. Water bowls are available on the patio!
10. The Freehouse
Another perennial favorite, The Freehouse might just fulfill your wildest dining dreams. This supremely pup-friendly joint offers beer options galore of both the house-made and the local craft varieties, plus delicious New American cuisine on a patio that seats 80(!) people. Frenchies’ll ruv Barbette’s dog-friendly patio in Minneapolis. From locally sourced ingredients, a gluten-free menu, and plenty of water and belly rubs, it’s a must-visit that’ll have you saying paw la la.
12. Book Club
Book Club is a California-inspired eatery that’s serving up its twist on New American fare, including delectable dishes like green curry mussels and wood-fired grilled Balinese chicken. Pull up a seat, and find out what all the fluff’s about. Water bowls are available.
13. Fletcher’s Ice Cream
Treat yourself and your furry bestie in a single stop at Fletcher’s Ice Cream. Its menu features a frozen, homemade treat with bananas, peanut butter, and vanilla yogurt that’s 100% dog approved.
14. Lake & Irving
Nestled between Uptown and Lake Bde Maka Ska, Lake & Irving has a welcoming, shaded patio with treats and water bowls on paw for its furry guests! Keep the paw-ty going with a walk around the lake. Then meet new friends at Lake of the Isles Off-Leash Dog Recreation Area, get your paws wet at the beach, or rent a paddleboard to cruise around together.
15. McCoy’s Public House
You’re guaranteed a good puppin’ time at McCoy’s Public House in St. Louis Park. Its tap beers and top-notch comfort food like chicken pot pie and cheese curds will have both of you drooling (we won’t judge if you offer pupper some bites), and the dog-lovin’ staff brings fresh water to fur-legged patio loungers. Make an afternoon of it by exploring the nearby trails of adjacent Wolfe Park and pampering your pooch at Bubbly Paws dog spa across the street. It’s called self-care, Sharon.
16. Surly Brewing
There’s nothing better than sippin’ a cold Surly brew on a warm summer day with your woofer by your side. Actually it does get better, when you add one of their delicious pizzas to the mix. Bring all your frens (hooman and furry) cuz there’s pawlenty of room on their spacious patio, including green space for when nature calls pup’s name—just be sure to scoop that poop!
