Inspired by our founder Ali Jarvis’ “lemon” dog, Luc, this series is dedicated to local, special-needs pups looking for loving homes. This adoptable pooch is scooped up and brought to you by Dog Days in St. Paul and Metro Dogs in the North Loop. See why they’re so grrreat at the end of this story.
Stats: 3-year-old, 60-pound, female Pit Bull Terrier
Location: Twin Cities, MN
Rescue: 4 Pits Sake Rescue
Sidewalk Dog: Wow what a beautiful girl! Tell us about Margo.
4 Pits Sake Rescue: Margo is such an active girl with a great, goofy personality! She loves being outside and playing with her people, especially fetch! She could run and play all day long and absolutely loves retrieving things for her person. She especially likes KONGs. When she’s playing outside she also loves to jump around and gets major air!
SWD: What a fun-lovin’ gal! What are her special needs?
4PSR: Margo has been looking for a home for 2 years. She’s also working on improving her resource guarding tendencies, and has made great progress on this with her foster dad. She’s LOVE a home with an active adult! She would be the greatest running partner or agility partner.
SWD: Sound like she’d be a natural at agility! What else would make the pawfect home for Margo?
4PSR: Margo needs a home without cats or other small mammals since she has a high prey drive. If there are kids in the home, older kids would be best since she’s a high-energy dog. She can be good with other dogs if given slow, patient introductions, but she’d also be totally happy being with an all-human fam.

This dog’s story was made possible by some of the pup-loving-est daycares in the Twin Cities: Dog Days in St. Paul and the newly expanded Metro Dogs in the North Loop, which is now accepting new doggos! As one happy customer recently put it, “After working in the pet care industry for 8+ years, this is the only place I trust my pooches to. I’ve never met a more caring, compassionate, on the ball crew in my life. The grooming is incredible, too.” For dog’s sake, give ’em a call today!
