Picking a daycare and boarding facility can be stressful: Will your dog be safe? Loved? And have fun, too? We’re here to help with a series highlighting the pup-lovingest daycares and boarding facilities in the Twin Cities and beyond.
Woofington Luxury Petite Dog Resort & Spa
Does your lap dog long to be in the lap of luxury? Little lads and lassies are a big deal at Woofington, which caters — and we do mean caters — exclusively to petite pups (25 pounds and under).
Give the doggies what they (and you) want
Step inside Woofington and you’ll find completely transparent views of the facility, which features opulent decor including plush bedding and pillows, chandeliers, and oriental rugs. (Editor’s note: How often can the world ‘opulent’ be used to describe a doggy daycare?)
The luxurious setting is just the beginning. Lavish attention will be bestowed upon your pup, who will enjoy prancing on padded rubber play floors and K9 Grass in all outdoor settings. For a special meal-time experience, dogs can choose from chef-prepared salmon, beef, or chicken.
Premium suites feature password-protected webcams and flatscreens tuned to DogTV. Specialty spa treatments include blueberry facials, mineral mud masks, and more. And if your baby finds himself missing mama (or vice-versa)? The Woofington concierge can arrange a Skype session to reconnect you with your tiny BFF no matter where you are.
The Woofington staff are nothing short of exceptional: A groomer with 14 years of experience is ready to perform full array of show cuts, fur dying, and bathing services, while two certified vet techs are on site for maximum peace of mind while you’re away. And their daycare director has over a dozen different activities that guests can participate in, such as bubble time, puzzles, and a pool — so dogs head home physically tired as well as mentally stimulated. (Editor’s note: Think they’d notice if I sent my three-year-old human child there?)
The Hooman Perspective
The reviews are in: Suzanne W. writes, “Our special-needs senior was treated like royalty during her Woofington stay. We even received texts with updates and photos from the innkeepers! With vet techs on staff, we also felt reassured that our sweet old girl would be well-cared for should there be a medical emergency. She was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when I picked her up. You will feel great about leaving your little canine friend here. We would give Woofington ten stars instead of five if we could!”
Another client, Chayla B., raves, “Murray and Poppy LOVE Woofington! Murray is not often excited but he does circles in the house when he knows he’s headed there. I’ve taken my boys to daycare all over the country and the staff at Woofington is by far the cream of the crop. They truly love and care for them — you can see it on their faces and the dogs faces.”
