Brandy from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

In Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Brad Pitt loves his pit bull-like dog Brandy and goes out of his way to protect it. If you have been diving into top Brad Pitt movies, then you know that this bond is part of the story, showing the importance of loyalty and friendship over the coming-of-age of 1960s Hollywood glamour.

Cliff has another dog named Brandy, played by the rescue dog named Sayuri; Brandy is not only Cliff’s pet but his faithful companion capturing the main character’s rough outer shell but a genuinely loving heart. The relationship between Cliff and Brandy is friendly and humorous; many scenes depict Cliff cooking for Brandy, but he is careless, as her food bowl is usually dirty. This again helps to build on the nature of their relationship as it shows that Cliff has some bad boy elements yet he still cares for Brandy.

This relationship was not just on the silver screen, though; the friendship shared between the movie’s protagonist, Pitt, and Sayuri was genuine. Matt and Monique Klosowski, Pitt’s handlers, claim that the actor fell for the star of the screen, Sayuri, during the picture’s shooting. Because of their shared bond, Brandy’s performance wowed audiences, landing her the Palm Dog Award at the Cannes Festival.

For Brandy, the role comes to a climax at the end when she fiercely fights for Cliff and his friend Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) to an attack. This moment not only strengthens the position of Brandy as a hero in the film but also strengthens the feeling of friendship between Brandy and Cliff which is one of the most positive and unforgettable feelings in the movie.

Marley from, Marley & Me

In Marley & Me, the focus is on the interaction between the Grogan family and their pet-yellow Labrador Retriever called Marley. The main character, Marley, is a black Lab who is known as “the world’s worst dog” but he is also adored and endearing; he is free for chaos and puppies to enter the structured if not stifling lives of this family.

The movie revolves around John and Jenny Grogan, played by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston respectively, who are getting through the rough times in their married life with the arrival of their newborn baby, nicknamed Marley. Soon, the family finds the dog chewing on the furniture, running away from the yard, and causing a lot of trouble.

Nonetheless, Marley also doles out emotional support to the family even if he behaves horribly. He consoles Jenny Grogan during the hard times, something that even John is unable to do at the time.

At the end of the story, it is evident that both characters have been reminded of the beautiful values that Marley once taught them, such as the virtue of loyalty as well as the realities of life whereby even love comes with the pain of losing a loved one. This relationship shows many viewers how greatly a pet can influence a whole family.

    Benji from, Benji

Released in 1974, the movie Benji centers on a stray dog named Benji who displays compassion, bravery, and intelligence as he navigates the challenges he faces.

Benji was portrayed by a mixed breed dog named Higgins who is thought to be part Miniature Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, and Schnauzer. In the movie, two children (Cindy and Paul) are kidnapped by robbers. Benji displays stunning bravery when he rescues the two children.

      Benji Success

Benji delivered great success and although the movie was produced for only $500,000 it grossed an impressive $45 million dollars. The movie also debuted on the big screen with the Oscar-nominated song titled “I Feel Love”.

Thanks to Higgins who gave life to the film as well as the tremendous storytelling attached to Benji. The victory of the film led to the making of several sequels which made Benji one of the most well-known dogs in the movie industry.
