Fall Yappy Hour at The Culver Hotel

Ruff Start Rescue Adoption Event at Brew Park
Join us at Brew Park Plymouth for an adoption event & round up your purchase to support rescue animals! Adoption Event on Thursday, October 8th from 5:00-7:00 PM. It's a great opportunity to meet adoptable dogs and learn about ways to get involved with Ruff Start Rescue! We will post attending animals on the Facebook Event Page a few days prior. Brew Park is Minnesota's only turfed, indoor dog park & restaurant! Make sure to register your pet before you visit by providing some information, including up-to-date vaccine records. No dog? No problem! We welcome everyone! We also want to remind you that you must be 18+ to enter the park. Anyone under that age is welcome to hang out in the restaurant but will not be able to access the park. You can also support rescue animals by rounding up your check now through the end of the year! Spooky Paint Your Pet
A Halloween-themed paint night where you recreate your pet in costume on canvas — you get a pre-drawn outline to paint, so no experience needed. Hosted by Portland Paints with Fern & Fur Pet Supply at the dog-friendly Lone Wolf Watering Hole in Portland's South Waterfront. 6–8 PM.

Race for the Rescues
The 21st Annual Race for the Rescues at the Rose Bowl — a timed 5K/10K, a 1K Dog Walk, the Rockin' Adoption Show showcasing adoptable dogs, a vendor expo, live DJ and plenty of tail-wagging fun. One of LA's largest pet-friendly fundraisers, benefiting local animal-welfare nonprofits.

Dog Days at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Spend two full days exploring the gardens with your leashed pup during the Botanic Garden's Dog Days. Regular admission for humans plus $5 per dog, with hydration stations set up across the campus. Dogs must be leashed, over four months old, and current on vaccinations.

Dog Day at Stoney Brook Farms Benefiting Ruff Start Rescue
Join us at Stoney Brook Farms for a day focused on our four-legged friends! Stoney Brook Farms will be hosting Dog Day during Harvest Fun Days on Saturday, October 10th, from 10 am-6 pm. A portion of the proceeds on 10/10 supports animals at Ruff Start. Tickets are available at the door. Receive a discount on admission with a pet-related donation. Kids 2 and under are free. Bring your pup* and enjoy all of the fun activities they have to offer, including a corn maze, giant corn pit, swings, slides, huge jump pad, pumpkin bowling, wagon train ride, climbing wall, hay bale stacks, gravity box basketball, a bounce house, yard games, corn sack racing, and human hamster wheels, & more! 5K Fun Run at Half Liter Brewery — Indiana Brewery Running Series
The Indiana Brewery Running Series stops at Half Liter Brewery, Bar & BBQ for a casual, untimed ~5K fun run/walk that wraps up with a craft beer and good company. Leashed dogs (and strollers) are welcome to join the route, making it a laid-back way for dog owners to get moving with their pup on a fall Saturday morning.

Set sail on a 90-minute dog-friendly cruise along the Chicago River and Lake Michigan aboard First Lady Cruises. The season's final regular Canine Cruise welcomes leashed pups of all sizes with water bowls, plenty of safe outdoor deck seating, and skyline views. Tickets start at $46.

A Halloween celebration for pet lovers hosted by the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board at The Commons. Can Do Canines Open House
Can Do Canines will host an open house on Saturday, November 7, from noon to 2 p.m., at its Can Do Canines campus. Potential clients, volunteers, or anyone who might be interested in supporting the organization is invited to attend to learn how an assistance dog changes the life of a person with a disability. Through a self-guided tour, attendees will be able to watch a trainer working with an assistance dog, talk with a dog host volunteer and staff members from the volunteer department, pose questions to client services coordinators, and meet graduate teams from five types that Can Do Canines trains dogs: hearing, mobility, seizure, diabetes, and childhood autism. There is no pre-registration for this event, though attendees will be asked to share some contact information when arriving.
