Dog owners enjoy a unique dog park located in the City of Eagan's Thresher Fields Park. The park features trails, rolling hills, and open spaces in a "rugged" natural setting. The entire area is fenced including the lake shore with a gated access to the lake. Varied terrain and wooded areas mean that owners wishing to maintain visual contact with their dogs must be able to hike and follow their pets down a steep hill and into the woods. A designated, fenced area is available for small dogs.

While I understand the need to raise money to support the upkeep of the dog park, requiring a permit doesn't allow anyone to try the part before investing the money in a seasons pass. Why not have a lock box for daily fees (and potential donations)?

Best small dog park I have been to... All small dog parks I have been to are small and mostly wood chips. This dog park is significantly larger; has significantly more grass than wood chips, 2 areas of woods where the dogs can sniff and sniff... My dog LOVES it so I do too... just wish more small dogs frequented it but still worth the drive (we live in St. Paul).
