For more than a century the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) at the University of Minnesota has provided the most advanced, full-service care for large and small animals. The VMC’s 60+ veterinarians are board-certified specialists in all areas of medicine and surgery and its its trauma and emergency care center is unparalled.
The VMC provides compassionate, comprehensive care for cats, dogs and other companion animals at its Small Animal Hospital, and for horses and farm animals at its Leatherdale Equine Center and Large Animal Hospital. We’re conveniently located on the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul campus.
As one patient's family put it, "The VMC is like a Mayo Cinic for animals."

We just had a great experience here! They told us that it was a "busy" night, but we were still only there for about an hour. Everyone was friendly and competent, and the waiting area and exam rooms were bright and clean. They were up front about costs from the first phone call, and I found the cost quite reasonable for emergency service.
