After opening in the summer of 2010, this grassy escape quickly gained a loyal neighborhood following. Victory Park loyalists say their dogs enjoy the openness and the “prairie” feel. Another plus: plenty of tennis balls and dog bowls are around to share.

This dog park is just a mile from my home on Penn. My puppies absolutely love it here. They start whining and wagging when we pull up. We have a big, clumsy, 3 legged brindle mutt, and a small terror terrier-- both enjoy this space and the pups here. A great group of Northsiders and friends who head out regularly (even in below freezing temps!) make for fun human socializing as well!

We can walk to this park from our house and tend to go after dinner hours when the park is busiest. Most of the dog owners are sociable and do a pretty good job of picking up after their dogs. We also have two picnic tables and lots of water bowls. Parking is also easy near either of the two entrances.
Love my GSP

Next to Minneahah, my furry man and I like this park the best! Big enough for my high-energy pal to run off some steam. Close enough to sneak in a quick trip there in the midst of errands. I love this super laid-back park. Go there enough and you will find there is somewhat of a dog park family there. Keep up the awesomeness nothrside!!

I have been taking my poochies to this dog park since it opened last summer. Although it gained popularity quickly, it is deserted most days. Which can be great if you are just "Introducing" your dog to a dog- park environment. Most owners are responsible and clean up after their dogs, but watch your feet and DON'T wear sandals. lol! Most of all, have fun!
