This long, narrow dog park in Columbia Park seems made for dogs who love to fetch. It’s spacious and open, and, as far as we know, the only dog park in bustling, vibrant Nordeast.

It's a nice park and right next to the driving range which is an extra bonus. But, I took my dog once and was planning to get permit and she got attacked by a pit bull. She is a puppy but is well socialized. She goes to doggie daycare and has had no issues. Why do people insist on having that breed? Fortunately she was hairy and little damage was done. Don't know if we'll go back.

This is really a huge dog park, but the narrow shape can make it feel small. I was very excited to find a dog park so close to home, but unfortunately it is not the most secure. At each entrance there is a wooden box inside that holds clean-up supplies, and any dog could easily jump on this box and over the short, 4 ft fence. For such a nice dog park I just wish they would've put in a taller fence. I cannot trust one of my huskies off leash in this park because he'd easily jump the fence without those boxes. Especially in the winter when the snow build up makes this more like a 2-3 ft fence.

Because it's so long and narrow it can feel more crowded than it actually is. Definitely not a park where you can walk around, but fine for playing fetch or playing with other dogs. The ground is all wood chips.

Wonderful simple place for dogs to socialize and run. People and pets are very responsible, nice area and decent facilities. Again, it's simple for people but the pets don't know what they are missing - it's all fun to them.
