My wife and I really enjoyed this park, and so did our two Lab mixes! It has a nice mix of woods and open space, and gave them plenty of room to explore. My one complaint though that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the big rocks on the path to the gate coming in (at least on the Franklin Terrace side). That isn't a good surface for dogs to be walking on, and in fact, one of my dogs did hurt his foot there, and developed quite a limp that we are still (almost two weeks later) trying to get rid of. I will officially complain to the park board about it, as well.

LOVE THIS PARK! Even though I moved out of Seward recently, I make a point to bring my pup (shepherd/boxer, midsize) back all the time! Most of the owners are friendly, and there are only one or two regular trouble dogs that are easy to avoid. A lot of regulars, really friendly to new dogs and pups! Great size, and great diversity fun dogs! Great mix of open play area and woodsy hike area.
