Not only does the HUGE Elm Creek Park Reserve boast a dog park, but it also has 20 miles of walking trails. And although it’s only about 40 minutes from the Twin Cities, the woodsy park has a wonderfully rustic feel and skijoring trails in the winter. (The park is part of the Three Rivers Park District, so check their website for more info.)
- Daily or monthly fee

Just wanted to clarify on a previous review - the off-leash park is actually about 28 acres. (Elm Creek Park Reserve is over 5000 acres.) We have taken our dogs to the off-leash park for over ten years. It's a great park - plenty of room to run, or, if you prefer, hang out and play.

This park is scenic, but not expansive as the description and some of the comments state -- the whole Elm Creek Reserve is 29 acres, NOT the dog park! Regardless, my pup enjoyed the trails and other dogs there.

This dog park is very large with well groomed trails to walk, giving you and your dog exercise. We love this park and enjoy it on a regular basis. It is very well taken care of.

Really great park! We had trouble getting to it - take the Zachary exit off 610 and that will take you straight there. The address given does not take you to the park. Our dogs loved swimming and running/walking the trails with us.

Love the wooded trail! Is still mainly just a giant loop, very few little turn offs the main path. In this sense, Battle Creek is the big winner, but this seems to be the next closest I can find for those who like to walk vs hang out in a big cluster. No real spot for gathering, but some people hung around the entrance. The only other open spot is the pond area which has it's own gate. The water was low but clean on my visit. The entrance to the park is off the corner of Elm Creek Rd and Hayden Lk Rd.

My dog loves this park! It's beautiful and huge. He loves to go swimming in the pond and then walk/run around the rest of the trails in the park to dry off for the ride home. It's great exercise for me and my dog. You need to buy an off-leash permit at $5/day (you can purchase the daily pass in the parking lot) or $35/year, but it's worth it!

Beautiful wooded walking trails, fields to play and run and a pond that is fenced off for those who don't want their pups to go swimming. Has amenities: a restroom for the humans, poo-bags for the hounds, water bowls and picnic tables throughout the park. Love. One of our top 3 faves of dog parks - well worth the extra drive to go!
