Named Best French Restaurant by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, this Uptown Minneapolis eatery is known for its delicious food and fun, eclectic environment both inside and on the patio. Also on offer are a wonderful wine list, gluten-free options, and vegetarian choices. Many dishes are made with ingredients from local farmers. Dogs of any size are welcome on the patio. Owner and famed Twin Cities restaurateur Kim Bartmann is dog mom to Pudel, a standard poodle, and Dottie, a Staffordshire terrier.

A high-end restaurant that both allows pooches and treats them well...seems like a rarity. We sat at a table on a side street on a chilly evening so we had the outdoor seating to ourselves. Tied Madison's leash around a leg of the table and she laid calmly on the sidewalk the whole dinner. The waitstaff brought her water and we gave her some of our own food, of course. There was enough room so that she didn't seem confined but if there had been many other patrons--of either the human or canine variety--it may have been too much trouble-in-the-making for our unruly dog. I give them four stars cause they never mentioned how beautiful our dog was ;)

For some reason, this patio seems to draw the cutest dogs in town. Plus, it makes you feel like you're eating street side in Paris! Try the pomme frites!
